Interlocked Squares

Square Dance Club

Sunnyvale, California

Interlocked Squares is a club that dances the C-1 program. We dance almost every Thursday evening.

Our regular dance location is Murphy Park in Sunnyvale. But we may sometimes need to dance at a different location (sometimes with changes at the last minute), so it's always a good idea to check the calendar page for this week's location. See the locations page for maps and directions.

Our class that started in 2021 has finished. Our schedule is now full C-1 7:00-9:30pm, with the last two tips (starting at 9:00pm) generally being harder and/or faster.

For information about our classes see the class page. If you would like to receive updates about future classes, write to kayton@alum.mit.edu.

Proof of being fully vaccinated is required for in-person dancing. (You will only have to provide this once, so you can show us a copy the first time you attend.) In addition, we are now requiring use of N95 or similar masks.

We welcome singles, couples, straight or gay. We use a rotation system for most tips. Dress is casual.

Our staff callers are Bill van Melle, Joe Dehn, and Mary Gingell. When we don't have a class in progress, we also schedule a regular rotation of guest callers.

We have been dancing in the Silicon Valley area for more than 20 years, at locations in San Jose, Cupertino, Palo Alto, Mountain View, and Sunnyvale.
